Born from a 1930 challenge to create a polo-proof watch for Jaeger-LeCoultre, the Reverso was designed by René-Alfred Chauvot. Its ingenious reversible case, born in 1931, protected the dial from impacts and gave the watch its name. This unique design made it an instant sports watch icon.

Over ninety years later, the Reverso’s art deco design remains one of the most recognizable in horology. The reference 250.8.86 honors this legacy with a construction that is immediately reminiscent of the original. Its wearable 23mm x 38mm stainless steel case is distinctly understated.

It features a intensely refined, classical monochromatic silver dial with blued steel hands and Arabic numerals. Powered by a manual-wind movement (cal. 846/1) and fitted stainless steel JLC singed bracelet as well as aftermarket blue leather strap and Pin clasp, this example offers fantastic wearability and will easily integrate into any collection.
